Heards Mountain Residence is conceived as a quiet retreat shaped by the Virginia landscape. Low horizontal volumes frame courtyards, gardens, and distant mountain views, creating a close relationship between architecture and site.

A restrained palette of textured concrete, warm wood, glass, and stone gives the house a grounded, tactile character. Interior and exterior spaces flow together through deep overhangs, framed openings, and sheltered outdoor rooms.
